I’m a third year Computer Science Ph.D. student at Virginia Tech advised by Dr. Chandan Reddy. My current research primarily centers on delving into the realm of Large Language Models, with a particular emphasis on its diverse applications, including tabular data reasoning, scientific discovery and material discovery.

My academic journey traces back to my Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai. My undergraduate thesis dedicated to the exploration of Deepfake Detection, led me to join Virginia Tech for the Masters program in Computer Engineering. During my Master’s program, I collaborated on projects on machine learning privacy with my advisor Dr. Ruoxi Jia.

I have been fortunate to collaborate with and receive mentorship from outstanding researchers such as Dr. Chandan Reddy, Dr. Ruoxi Jia, Dr. Dan Roth, and Dr. Vivek Gupta whose guidance has significantly shaped my research journey.

Research Interests

My research focuses on making LLM-based systems reliable for decision-making over structured data and scientific workflows. I work at the intersection of LLM reasoning, tabular/structured data, and AI4Science, with an emphasis on building methods and benchmarks that expose real failure modes and improve end-to-end performance. I have experience in:

• LLM reasoning over structured data, including methods that improve performance on complex reasoning tasks and downstream predictive modeling
• Agentic and tool-augmented AI systems that decompose problems, coordinate multiple steps, and interact with external tools to support learning and discovery
• AI4Science, where agentic LLM systems are used to assist scientific exploration, hypothesis generation, and data-driven discovery
